Do You Wish To Live Stress-Free From Daily Life Pressures?
Try serving in a program to feed the homeless. You will feel great relief helping others.
When the pressure of responsibilities and demands of others are stealing your peace? It is time to seek healing by helping others.
You can't imagine how good you will feel.
I recently had to change jobs. It was a drastic decision since a lot depended on that income. But the physical and mental wear and tear was leading me to distress.
The bosses' oppression is so intense that they don't mind stealing your life to achieve their monetary goals.
Someone reading this has to relate to my situation.
The good thing was that I opened my eyes and began to pay attention to possible opportunities.
Life taught me an invaluable lesson.
Opportunities pass in front of us just like the subway train passes often; if we are careless, we miss ours. It is usually because we run through life like horses on the racetrack with blinders in our eyes.
We focus only on what is in front of us.
Have you ever stopped to observe how one thing leads to another? It sounds cliché, but this happens often in both directions, for better or worse.
Networking your friends is the best way to start a change in your life. And I tell you this so you understand there is a better condition for us somewhere in the world.
When a storm occurs in one place on earth, a sunny day occurs at the other end.
I have not yet strayed from the topic of serving those in need. I think you'll need it at the end of this article.
Realize this. Every time you have a conversation with someone, you are sowing a seed.
And what kind of seeds are you trying to plant? Looking for a job.
Then, like a funnel, after a short greeting, you start to drive the conversation around a job opportunity.
The person you asked may not know about any work, but they will take the seed sown and share it with others in their conversations without you knowing it.
That is the power of Networking.
It happened that one day, I decided to volunteer at an Outreach program for people experiencing homelessness. It was an incredible experience to share food with someone in need who has nothing to pay you with other than to thank you.
That sense of gratitude from those in need gave me an essential meaning. You realize that someone else is a step-down and having a worse time than you.
Beautifully, all my problems started to dissolve into nothingness. All my stress went out the window.
At the time of serving, I found another known server, and it was there that my Networking began. The conversation with that person led to an unusual call from a stranger who knew of a job opportunity.
My question was, how do you know me to recommend me for that job? He responded that he saw the goodness of serving and helping others in my face. He is the Manager of a company, and he wanted to fill the environment with people like me who like teamwork.
And what do you mean by that? I asked him.
A faithful team worker helps his teammate without expecting his help immediately, and he does it with the pleasure of moving the team forward.
I was most surprised by the depth of his vision.
You can start whenever you want. The door is open, he said with a pleasant tone.
Two weeks have passed, and I am delighted with my new job.
I have not stopped visiting and serving in the outreach program during those two weeks. It has helped me a lot psychologically as much as I have helped those in need.
And as I say again, one good thing a day paves the way to restoration and happiness.
I hope you enjoyed and learned something from my recent experience.
It is excellent for me to share the good things in life by writing it. It gives me another kind of internal healing,
